BAGAIA: Cabo Verde assumes the Presidency 2026-08-19
IPIAAM participated in the Extraordinary Meeting of the BAGAIA Board of Directors, held from 4 to 7 August 2026 in Abuja, Nigeria, which brought together representatives of the Member States to address institutional, operational and strategic matters concerning the Agency.
During the meeting, Eng. Jorge Manuel Rodrigues of Cabo Verde was elected President of the BAGAIA Board of Directors, succeeding the previous officeholder, whose term had come to an end.
Cabo Verde´s election to the Presidency reinforces its commitment to the consolidation of BAGAIA and to the development of aircraft accident and incident investigation in the region.
IPIAAM´s participation thus reaffirms Cabo Verde´s commitment to promoting civil aviation safety and strengthening regional cooperation.
